Why Wayne County Basements Flood
Much of Wayne County’s housing was built before modern sewer and drainage standards. Older clay sewer lines, combined sewer systems and aging floor drains mean that during heavy rain, water can back up into basements even when the home itself has no leaks. Lakefront communities like the Grosse Pointes also deal with high groundwater.
When a sewer backup is involved, the water is contaminated, so we extract, remove affected materials and disinfect before drying, and we protect your family and our crew with proper equipment.

Wayne County Flooded Basement FAQs
Water is coming up through my floor drain. What should I do?
Stay out of the water, since sewer backups can carry bacteria. Turn off power to the basement only if you can reach the panel safely, and call us. We extract the water, remove affected materials and disinfect the area.
Is a sewer backup covered by insurance?
Usually only with a specific sewer backup endorsement on your policy. We document everything and work with your adjuster so your claim has what it needs.
Do you work with my insurance company?
Yes. We work with all carriers, document the loss, meet your adjuster and coordinate with your mortgage company if needed.
